Isolation

This poem is in response to another one of Robert Lee Brewer's Wednesday prompts: Isolation. On thinking about the subject I realized that the times I feel the most isolated are sometimes when there are the most people around me...

Running

Wake up running
Here I go
Can't get it done
If I move too slow

Gotta hurry
I'm out the door
Running around
So I can do more

Work all day
I cook and clean
Running errands
When I can in between

Night-time comes
I'm tired and beat
But no one is running
To take care of me.

  1. Take care of you first and the rest will take care of itself. ;)
