Day 15: Just When I Thought it was Safe....

Fragile

Just when I thought it was safe
To hope that life could be sane
And normal, something happens
To bring it all crashing down;
Something to make me realize
How fragile life really is.

  1. Hope whatever caused problems is now less of a concern. Are you producing a series of these short poems...

  2. I didn't set out with that intention, but recent events have been on my mind as I write so I have thought about documenting my health "journey". I have MS which tends to be...unpredictable. It also tends to complicate other things as well. Thanks for your concern!

  3. Concisely articulated - life is fragile indeed!

    By the way, love the short poems.. If you can articulate an emotion or subject matter with economy of words, why not do that? I tend to be verbose, as you can see, and I envy your ability to write such neatly packed poems without sacrificing meaning/effectiveness.

    Wish you the best in your “health” journey… in life and writing!

  4. I haven't viewed your blog in what seems to be a long while. To me, this post sums up life. I can't help but think that pain is the only certainty in life, and all that we can do is to try to help others through the pain.
